How I Learn

After taking the Vark Questionnaire I have been identified as a :

Aural / Auditory (A):
This perceptual mode describes a preference for information that is "heard or spoken." Students with this modality report that they learn best from lectures, tutorials, tapes, group discussion, email, using mobile phones, speaking, web chat and talking things through. It includes talking out loud as well as talking to yourself. Often people with this preference want to sort things out by speaking, rather than sorting things out and then speaking.

I had the highest score on this particular learning type I am not surprised because I feel that I am a Aural/Auditory learner because I prefer for things to be explained and discussed rather than just be put on paper in writing.

I am surprised about scoring quite high on the (Read/write) (R) because I never had myself down as a person that likes to do alot of reading when learning. But saying that I think when I am learning different things I like to learn different ways, so I could have multiple learning styles which is explained briefly on the Vark-learn website.

My least favourite learning style according to the questionnaire is the Visual (V), I feel that I am enhancing this learning style at the moment because I am currently studying Computer Networking, and the majority of the things we learn are visual based.
